NOVEMBER 2022With the change in clocks over the weekend and as the dark evenings descend, we continue to look back at our Convention and highlight an exciting new resource we have been working on. Launching, Glory to the LordMaud Kells charts her journey of faith from Cookstown to the Congo. Maud, a former WEC missionary in Congo talks to Etta Halliday about her lifetime of service in the Congo, being shot and much, much more. If you would like to use this film in Church, ladies meetings etc then please email: secretary@worldwidemission.org Q&A WITH BALLYCROCHAN BAPTISTThe pastor of Ballycrochan Baptist Church, Neil Watson, shares why their church signed up to support Bangor Worldwide all year round and why they encourage others to do the same. You can sign up to be a Supporter Church here. POINTS FOR PRAYERYOUNG ADULTSFollowing the success of the 20s/30s seminar at the convention this year, it has been decided to run a follow-up event. This will take place on Sunday 6th November in Hamilton Road Baptist Church at 8.00 pm. Please pray that many will hear about this initiative and plan to be there. Pray also for the meeting itself, that God would use it to stir up missions interest in the hearts of those who attend. FINANCENovember is a busy month for our treasurers, Cecil and Norman, as they prepare our accounts for the closure of our financial year in December. Pray that all will go smoothly and that the overall outcome will be an encouragement to everyone. MAUD KELLSGive thanks that we have been able to produce a video of Maud reflecting on her remarkable missionary career in the company of Etta Halliday. Please pray that there will be a wide interest in this and that God would use it to inspire many others to follow Maud’s lead. 2023Please pray for the ongoing preparations for both the Launch and the Convention itself in 2023. Contacts have been made with a variety of speakers and agencies so pray that those which are of God’s choice will respond readily and positively. |
