2009Summary

Always a highlight of the summer, the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention is unique to Northern Ireland! Believe it or not, it has been going strong for over 70 years, working in partnership with churches and mission organisations to promote and support mission across the world – in word and deed! It runs this year from 22 to 29 August 2009 (in Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church, Bangor) and an exciting programme has been organised.

In conversation with … Dr Helen Roseveare

The Opening Meeting promises to be a very special night! ‘Digging Ditches!’* is the title and the evening will include an in–depth interview with veteran missionary and author Dr Helen Roseveare (WEC Int’l). We hope to soon provide a DVD of the interview for purchase.

Loving God … Loving Others

An exciting range of speakers from around the world took part during the week, each reflecting the theme for the week ‘Loving God … Loving Others’ in a variety of ways – the challenge of Africa; healthcare work; mission across Ireland, use of technology; evangelism; refugee ministry…and more!
