Seminar / Middle East Crisis from a Theological Perspective

Bishop Nazir–Ali

The violence in the Middle East is a daily item on our news bulletins and we are all well informed of the facts about this seemingly intractable problem which is the cause of so much human suffering. Many millions of Syrians have had to flee their homes and now spent their lives in refugee camps.

But the facts will only take us so far and as Christians we have the challenge of trying to understand how all that is going on fits into God’s bigger picture and also how to relate it to other evidence of God being at work among the Islamic peoples of this part of the world.

To help us try to get a better grasp of God’s perspective on what is going on, Bishop Michael Nazir–Ali, who has looked in depth at this subject, will share his thoughts and there will be an opportunity for questions.

Rev Dr Stafford Carson will chair the seminar and while the event is free, we would ask all who intend to come to register using the link to the left (available soon).

The first 30 registering will be provided with a light lunch at 1.00pm prior to the event which will be held in the church complex.
