Mervyn Scott

Mervyn serves with Baptist Missions. A Dubliner, married to Karen (from Belfast!) they have four children, Bethany (22), Daniel (20), Ben (17) and Josh (11). Before moving into his present role, Mervyn and Karen worked for 17 years in evangelism and church planting in the Cork area.

Mervyn Scott was born in Dublin and privileged to grow up in a Christian family. He met his wife Karen through serving on evangelistic teams with United Beach Missions and Young Life. This year they are celebrating 25 years of marriage.

Another significant milestone is that it is 90 years since the Irish Baptist Foreign Mission sent its first missionaries to Peru! Mervyn’s role involves overseeing the work of the Mission as well as providing pastoral care and support to missionaries on the field, which includes France, Spain, Ireland (North & South) and Peru.

Mervyn and Karen enjoying walking in scenic areas and miss living by the sea, so it will be good to be in Bangor for the Convention!
