Ruth Cooke

Ruth serves as Regional Development Executive for IJM based in Belfast, seeking to fuel the global justice movement by drawing attention to everyday violence, influencing leaders to become champions for protecting the poor, equipping Christians to live out their faith’s call to justice and rallying all people of good will to the fight.

She seeks to resource IJM’s field work by developing strategic partnerships to raise the necessary resources required for the work of justice.

Prior to joining IJM Ruth qualified as a solicitor before working for relief and development organisation, Tearfund.

She lives in East Belfast with her husband Edward.

IJM is a global organisation that protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. IJM partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems.
