Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention

With 2 days to go to our Waterfront launch date, it's easy to get caught up with preparations for it alone! In this mailing, we promise not to say too much about it!

Dick Dowsett

Dick Dowsett

Yesterday, we received an email from Dick to inform us he slipped a disc on Sunday. It is responding well to treatment but we would ask you pray for the Lord to work so that he is able to join for the Convention!

Saturday Night at the Waterfront!

Belfast Waterfront Hall

As mentioned earlier in the week, we have a sell out which is a huge answer to prayer! However, there my be a few tickets still available so please check out the Waterfront Website or give their Box Office a quick call!

There's a lot to pack into the evening so we're going to give you a quick run down!

  • Rico Tice (All Souls, London)
  • Ajith Fernando (Youth for Christ - Sri Lanka)
  • Bishop Ken Clarke
  • Worship with Alistair Hamill and the New Irish Choir & Orchestra

So what else do we have in store ...

At Worldwide 2011, speakers will travel to Bangor, Northern Ireland, from across the world to share what God is doing across the world. Speakers already confirmed include Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali (Release Int'l), and Isaac Shaw (Delhi Bible Institute).

Mornings will be given over to a world prayer focus followed by Morning Bible Reading sessions, led this year by Ajith Fernando from Sri Lanka, well known author and Director of Youth for Christ in Sri Lanka.

Evening meetings will include a range of mission reports, involving local and overseas mission representatives, together with young people who have been involved on short-term overseas assignments.

A highly informative Mission Resources Exhibition runs in conjunction with the evening Convention meetings. At the exhibition, local mission representatives provide updates on the work of their mission, as well as offering advice on how you can become involved.

Missions Exhibition

We are delighted to have over 75 mission agencies registered for the informative exhibition at both the Waterfront and Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church. The Exhibition opens at 6pm and we would encourage you to come along early to support our partners.

Come along early and make an evening of it.
