Not long to go
The convention is nearly on us and we would ask you to pray particularly for the speakers as they prepare for the various meetings. Some have been with us before but for most this will be their first time and they may be unsure about what to present. Pray that they will get the guidance they need, and that each will present in a way that challenges everyone to a deeper commitment to spreading the “ Good News” about Jesus. In this regard remember especially Bishop Clarke as he brings the Bible Readings.
Preparation
We long for meetings which are spirit–filled so please pray for those involved in the leadership of them. Firstly our Chairmen - Gary Beattie, Glen Mitchell and Graeme Kennedy – and also our worship leaders – Alistair Hamill, Melanie Johnston, The New Irish choir and orchestra, and the One Way Band . May they be inspired in their preparation.
Prayer
We believe prayer to be the key to a Convention which is effective for God and the extension of His Kingdom across the world and that is why we begin with a prayer meeting on Friday 23rd August at 7.30pm.
Please remember this meeting and attend if you can. Last year we had our largest attendance for many years and it would be great if that was the case again in 2013.
Current Affairs
Many of the countries and parts of the world that we will be hearing about – Egypt, Israel, Palestine, North Africa and even South America after the Pope’s visit – currently feature prominently in our news bulletins. Only God could have arranged this, so please pray that Christians will be keen to hear the truth about what is going on in these places and make a point of attending the convention.
