celebrating the birth of Jesus - The true light that gives light to everyone was coming
into the world (John 1:9)! James Turner, the HUB, gives us his thoughts on Bangor Worldwide above.
DON CARSON INTRODUCES GARY MILLERDon Carson introduces our 2020 Bible speaker - Dr Gary Millar. Find out what Don had to say in this short video recorded when Don was with us in the summer.
WORLDWIDE VIDEOSIf you are looking for something to watch in the dark winter nights, remember we have lots of our speakers recorded over on our Vimeo channel. Listen back to Don Carson’s teaching on Isaiah as well as many of our international speakers. There is something for everyone.
DONATIONSWe are truly grateful for every pound we get to help finance mission across God’s world. There is a range of ways you can donate throughout the year including online giving, direct debit and BACS. Remember your donation goes further if you can gift aid it!
Please pray for the Finance committee as it meets on the 5th of this month to draw our finances for the year to a close and for wisdom in drawing up a report for the meeting of the main committee later in the month. Pray particularly for our Treasurers, Cecil and Norman, as they prepare for these meetings and finalise all the figures. Give thanks for the real progress which has been made over the past year in moving our finances to a more user friendly computer system. It is hoped to run both the new and the old systems in parallel during 2020 and then to move fully to the new one when are sure any flaws have been dealt with. This has been a clear answer to a specific long term prayer request from the committee.
Please pray for the committee as it meets on the 11th of this month. In addition to considering financial matters, we have also to finalise the speakers programme for 2020, review the results from the questionnaire survey which we conducted at this year’s convention, give thought to our Launch for 2020 and other matters. Please pray that we will be given the wisdom and inspiration we need to make decisions which are in line with God’s will.
Please pray for Lorraine, an enthusiastic member of our committee whose mum passed away at the end of November. Pray that she, and the extended family, will know God’s peace at this difficult time and have the Holy Spirit’s help in dealing with so great a loss.
