FEBRUARY 2020Welcome to the February mailer as we update you on our plans and reveal some of our international speakers that are making the trip to Bangor this summer. WORLDWIDE YOUTH WORKER'S BREAKFASTPCI’s Discipleship Development Officer Rick Hill was the speaker at our recent breakfast held in Bangor for Youth Workers. Thanks to everyone who came along and we trust it will have inspired you to lead others with a desire and heart for global mission. ASAF PELLEDAsaf was born and raised on a kibbutz in Israel, at which a more secular expression of Judaism was the norm. He eventually read a copy of the New Testament and became a Christian. Now based in Amsterdam, Asaf is a gifted evangelist who is helping Jewish people in Holland find Jesus for themselves through street evangelism. EVIE CRAIGEvie has been serving with OMF for almost 6 years involved with Third Culture Kids (TCKs) within the China and Beyond Area. She currently has the role as TCK Program Development Coordinator, delivering structured Biblical programs which will teach and disciple through orientation events and annual conferences which are held primarily in Northern Thailand. HAS THE POST MODERN MOVEMENT GONE?At our 2019 Convention we had the privilege of hosting Don Carson, who amongst other things ran a Q & A session for us. Videos from this session are available on our Vimeo page, but we thought we'd provide a taster to one of the questions here. POINTS FOR PRAYERPROGRAMME LAUNCH FOR 2020 CONVENTIONGive thanks that our plans for this year’s Launch are finally settled. Our speaker this year will be Rev. David Meredith, Missions Director for the Free Church of Scotland. He will ( DV ) address a Breakfast for Ministers in Bangor on Wednesday 27th May, an open meeting for all in Hamilton Road Baptist Church that evening and then a Breakfast for Ministers in Belfast on Thursday 28th May. Please give thanks that David has agreed to come to our event and pray that he will be inspired as he prepares his talks. The Breakfast in Belfast is a new venture for us, so please pray that the invitations which will issue in the next few weeks will receive a positive response. COMMITTEE
