We pray God’s blessings will be upon us as we prepare to host our 85th Convention in August. Remember to put the dates into your new diary or online calendar: Friday 20th to Saturday 28th August 2021
85TH TRIATHLON
CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED
To mark this special event our Chairman Tom Clarke will walk 850 miles between January and August 2021, his daughter Joy will run 850 miles and grandson Jed will complete 850 laps of his garden to raise support for the opening night of the 2021 convention.
Will you support Tom, Joy and little Jed by contributing to this worthy cause which will have a focus on the Persecuted Church Worldwide?
Two Londoners tell their unique story of how they met London City Missionaries, and came to give their lives to Jesus, becoming our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Introducing Rita El Mounayer - born in Lebanon during the civil war, Rita joined SAT-7 in 1996 as a children’s presenter. Having held many responsibilities within SAT-7 she became CEO in 2019, and is now based in Cyprus. We look forward to welcoming Rita in August
Thank you for praying for our committee and finance meetings in December. These were very positive so please give thanks that God has been so good to us in 2020 in the midst of all the upheaval. Without the normal convention meetings to raise finance we were very apprehensive as to how our income would be impacted. In the end this was only c.10% lower than 2019 – a drop that was off-set by a significant reduction in our expenditure. We praise God that at the end of the year we were able to send gifts to 139 mission agencies. Please pray that the recipients will be encouraged at a time when many are having to lay off / furlough staff and missionaries are finding it difficult to raise support.
MISSION
AGENCIES
Give thanks for a very helpful meeting with representatives from MAP and MWF. This was the first time we had met together and there was a real desire to work more closely in the future. Please pray as we look at ways of taking this partnership forward so that there will be benefits for all involved. From the worldwide perspective, we hope it will make the Global Village an even busier place during convention week
2021
PLANNING
We continue our planning for 2021 and are basing this on it being a ‘normal’ convention. Please pray that this will be the case and that decisions being made in Westminster and Stormont, regarding the pandemic, will bring a speedy end to the current health crisis
