DID YOU KNOW?
There is a weekly prayer meeting held on Monday mornings in Bangor Congregational Church on Central Avenue? This is open to anyone and is a time of fellowship and prayer for missionaries around the world. It begins at 11am and we would value your support.
FRESH START
What new resolutions have you set for 2022? If one of them is more exercise, then read Joy Clarke’s article, published in our Convention programme, to inspire you to greater things as she recalls running 850 miles from January to August 2021. Joy, her nephew Jed and father (our Chairman) Tom, raised over £6,000 for the persecuted church!
PORRIDGE & PROGRESS
Ezechiel Hatungimana was moved by the events he saw on Christmas Day in 2014 to start YADA - read the article on how bowls of porridge are helping children in Burundi to get an education and learn more about Jesus.
POINTS FOR PRAYER
FINANCE
Give thanks that despite not having a fully normal convention in 2021 our income was up on last year and only around 3% less than 2019 when we last had a convention unconstrained by the Covid pandemic. We are grateful to God for His goodness to us in this way and pray that as the money is distributed among the mission agencies, they will be encouraged by this boost to their income
LAUNCH EVENTS
IN MAY
We are still seeking a suitable speaker for our Launch events in May so please pray that we will be guided by God to the person of His choice for these important elements in the convention calendar
CONVENTION
2022
Our plans are progressing well for August but these are again being made in the shadow of Covid. Please pray that the pandemic will not cause any further disruption neither to the life of our community nor to the convention itself.
