Service of Thanksgiving: Dr Helen Roseveare

WEC International are organising a special service on Saturday 18th March at 7pm to give thanks and celebrate the life and witness of Dr Helen Roseveare who died in December 2016. The event will take place at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church, where Helen told her incredible stories at various Worldwide Conventions.

A world mission challenge will come from Louis Sutton, WEC International Director and John Bagg, WEC UK Director.

Isaac Shaw

Isaac is National Director/President of Delhi Bible Institute which has discipled 48,092 men and women in their seven centres in North India. This has led to the starting of over 20,000 churches, house churches, prayer groups and Bible study groups! We look forward to hearing from Isaac in August as he returns to Bangor Worldwide.

Prayer

Launch Event on the 10th May

Each year in May we arrange a meeting to publicise our programme for the upcoming Convention in August. This is aimed at local clergy, other ministerial staff such as Youth workers, mission agency representatives, retired missionaries and friends with an interest in missions. As we begin preparations for this year’s event, please pray that we will be able to create a programme for the morning which will enthuse those who attend and encourage them to get involved in publicising the Convention. Pray also that all the publicity material will be ready in time for the Launch.

Meetings of Trustees & Committee

Give thanks for effective meetings of our Trustees and Committee during February and pray for a meeting on Monday 6th March when our finance people will be hoping to decide on the most efficient way to update our computer software. This has been an ongoing issue for a number of years and we are encouraged by the recent offers of help which have allowed us to make progress towards a solution and which are an answer to prayer.

Student and Youth programme

We are planning to significantly strengthen our student and youth events for Convention 2017. Please pray for Jason and Keith as they make plans for these and also for the exciting arrangements which are proposed to publicise these new features of our overall programme.
