Welcome to the November mailer of Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention designed to keep you up to date with all the latest events and to help you pray earnestly for the work we seek to do in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ignite

Event

New Youth Ignite Series begins

One of our longings at Worldwide is to kindle a passion for God’s global mission in the hearts of our young people. This happens under the banner of IGNITE. This Friday night, 6th November, sees the first of a series of winter events for young people that will be held in Hamilton Road Baptist Church. The focus will be on Muslims and will be lead by Frontiers Ireland. There will be worship, quizzes, prizes, videos - oh, and some food! If you organise youth groups or know someone who does, be sure to tell them about it!

Prayer

We realise the vital importance of prayer in the work of Bangor Worldwide – without it we would be lost. At present we have nearly 600 people receiving our monthly updates which include our current prayer points and we appreciate your support. It would be good to grow this number, so would you pray to that end and if you know someone who would be interested would you encourage them to sign up for the updates through the homepage link on our website [www.worldwidemission.org].

There is also a Worldwide Prayer Meeting at 11am each Monday morning at the Congregational Church, Central Avenue in Bangor for those who are free at that time. Do join us if you can.

Finance

This is a busy time of year for our treasurers and we would ask for prayer for them as they finalise the accounts and for the Finance Committee as it meets to decide on the allocation of funds to the various mission agencies.

Youth

To encourage the interest in missions among our young people, we have agreed to support a programme of combined youth events to take place throughout the Winter / Spring session in Hamilton Road Baptist Church. These will have a variety of mission speakers and are being arranged by local youth pastors. They are open to all youth groups to come along to. Please pray that this new venture will be well supported and will see much fruit for missions in the years to come as a result.

More details about these events are available at the start of the update.

Programme for 2016

Please pray for the finalisation of our programme for the evening meetings in 2016 – there are still some details to be agreed – and also for our discussions with various interested parties about seminars etc. which aim to broaden the appeal and reach of the Convention.
