NOVEMBER As the dark evenings approach, we continue to look back at our Convention
and highlight some aspects you might have missed.
WORLDWIDE ON PREMIER RADIOAs part of Premier’s Missions Week in October, a programme was produced on Bangor Worldwide. If you haven’t heard it yet it can be accessed online. It features an interview with our chairman Tom Clarke and some audio from previous conventions. The programme has raised awareness about the Convention and brought it to a totally new audience.
EVERY HOME CRUSADEHeather Mercer has been attending Bangor Worldwide since the 1980s. She works for Every Home Crusade who print and distribute gospel literature to countries all over the world. Watch as she explains some prayer requests for Hong Kong and Cuba.
PRAYERA lot has been written on learning how to pray. In this short video, Don Carson explores the topic, recorded from his Q&A with pastors during the Convention.
Give thanks for our links with Premier Radio. Please pray that because of the broadcast during Missions Week, we will see increased interest in the work of mission in days to come and see the fruit of this at our event. Pray also that we will be guided as we seek to strengthen our links with the Premier organisation.
Please pray for the committee as we seek to develop the idea of having a network of supporter churches particularly in the Belfast area which would have a definite link with the Convention. Pray that we would know the right churches to approach and that we would receive positive responses from them.
Each year we receive a generous grant from Ards and North Down Council towards the costs of running the Convention. Give thanks for a very positive meeting held recently with council officials and pray that as we now make an application for support in 2020, that those involved from the committee would be guided in supplying all the necessary information and that we will again have a successful outcome.
Give thanks for the group which meets each Monday morning throughout the year, to pray for the Convention. Numbers continue to grow and we are thankful for new members joining in the past year. Pray for Eric Lindsay as he provides such Godly leadership and that he and the others will be encouraged and blessed by playing their vital part in the work of the Convention.
