Committee Meeting

Please pray for our next committee meeting which takes place on the 18th October and at which we will be seeking to finalise, as far as possible, the speakers for the evening meetings of the Convention in 2018. This is a complex task which requires getting the right balance of speakers each night and also across the week. We depend on the leading of the Holy Spirit and would ask that you pray that He would be present at the meeting and that we would be open to His leading.

Lunchtime Event

Also on the 18th October, Bangor Worldwide will be hosting a lunchtime meeting at which David Sills, well known author and Professor of Mission at the Southern Baptist Seminary USA will be speaking. The event is targeted at mission representatives and those with a specific missions interest. Please pray that it will prove to be worthwhile and an encouragement to all who attend.

Finance

The updating of our financial processes had been a subject of much prayer for a number of years and these were answered when earlier this year we had the offer of expert help on a voluntary basis. Work has been proceeding ever since to upgrade our computer programmes and so please give thanks for the smooth way it has been carried out. It will take into the New Year to complete the task so pray that it will continue without any major set-backs.

Impact

We are not aware as yet of anyone being called by God to missions work through the various talks at Convention 2017. This does not mean that it has not happened and we are convinced that God did speak to some. Please pray for the ongoing work of God’s Word in the hearts and minds of those who attended and that someday we will see the fruit of this.
