April 2016

With spring officially in the air, we can enjoy lighter and longer evenings as we come closer to our launch in May and continue with our plans for our 80th anniversary Convention.

African Children's Choir

Event

African Children's Choir

As part of our programme launch, we will host a concert with the African Children's Choir on Wednesday 11th May at 7.30pm at Bangor Elim Complex. Free tickets can be booked online or picked up from the Welcome Centre at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church. An offering will be taken during the course of the event. This will be an opportunity to listen to the renowned choir and hear about the many events planned for our 80th Anniversary Convention. Please do plan to attend the concert and spread the word!

Points for Prayer

Launch Event

This has been arranged for Wednesday 11th May in Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church and the invitations have just been sent out. These have gone to a wide range of individuals, including local clergy, mission agency secretaries, former missionaries and we would ask for prayer that the invitations will not be ignored but that there will be a positive response by the closing date at the end of this month. Numbers attending have been growing steadily and it would be encouraging if this trend were to continue again this year.

Visit of the African Children's Choir

Give thanks that the arrangements for this new venture for Bangor Worldwide are just about finalised and in particular for the excellent support which we have received from Bangor Elim Church who are hosting the event. Please continue to pray regarding the publicity for the event which will be held on the evening of 11th May, that it will be well directed and draw in a good attendance.

Evening in the Assembly Buildings, Belfast

Please pray for this event which takes place on our opening Saturday (20th August) and will again be a new venture for Bangor Worldwide as we seek to mark our 80th anniversary. Pray especially for Ivan Millen as he has overall responsibility for the wide variety of arrangements which staging such an ambitious event entails, and that he will know God’s empowering as the evening draws closer.
