Worship at Worldwide

Alistair Hamill

We are privileged in be led in worship each year by various talented groups. This year, in addition to welcoming back the talented Alistair Hamill, we also welcome back Melanie Johnston and Nathan Jess.

We are also excited to see the New irish Orchestra joining us this year for our final night of the convention.

Alistair Hamill and his team are with us again this year to lead our praise at the evening meetings throughout the week. Alistair is involved in music ministry at Glenabbey Church.

Melanie Johnston hails from Ballyclare and is a secondary school teacher. She attends Glenabbey Church and has a passion for worship through music. She has had the privilege of being part of various worship teams and is very much looking forward to being part of Bangor Worldwide 2012!

Nathan Jess studied music at QUB, graduating in 2010, and then quickly established himself on the Christian music scene. He is really passionate about writing congregational worship songs and we look forward to him joining us on Youth night.

Prayer Topics

As ever, we finish our Prayer email with our Prayer Topics. Thank you for remembering the convention in your prayers.

  1. Please remember our Chairmen for this year’s evening meetings. We are very grateful that Rev. David Leach (Associate Minister of Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church), Pastor Jonathan McClaughlin (Pastor of Hamilton Road Baptist Church) and Pastor Glen Mitchell (Pastor of Kings Fellowship, Bangor) have accepted our invitation to act as chairmen throughout the week.

They are all busy people who have young families as well as their churches to look after and we would ask for prayer that they will have time for their preparation for the Convention.

  2. Worship is an important element of our meetings so please pray for our worship leaders – Alistair Hamill, Melanie Johnston and  members of the New Irish Orchestra and singers.

Remember them as they prepare over the next few weeks and that they would be inspired to lead us in worship which brings glory to God.

  3. Continue to pray for the speakers especially those who have not visited the Convention before that they will be guided as to what to say and what material to include.

  4. The Convention opens with a reception for retired missionaries followed by our opening prayer meeting. Please pray for a good attendance at these so that we can get off to a very positive start.
