AUGUST HAS ARRIVEDAs we countdown the days until the Convention, we take this opportunity to highlight some of the speakers making their way to Bangor and events taking place later this month. OPENING NIGHTWe are back in Assembly Buildings, Belfast for our main opening night on Saturday 24th August. Tickets are £5 and can be bought online or at the door - do come early to browse through the exhibition from 6.30pm. The service will begin at 7.30pm and will be chaired by Rev Jim Cheshire and the main speaker will be Don Carson. ERIC & ANNE MOOREEric and Anne Moore who received their call to mission work at the Convention in 1965 will be back with us to share their experiences of 46 years in the Lord’s service at our Monday evening (26th) service in Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church at 7.30pm. ALL ABOARD!Bangor Worldwide are back again with a bus tour! The focus of the trip will be on the life of Amy Carmichael. The bus will leave Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church at 10am on Saturday morning (24th), finishing around 12 noon with refreshments in the welcome centre. Tickets are £5 and can be purchase from the Welcome Centre at HRPC or contact Lorraine@worldwidemission.org POINTS FOR PRAYERSPEAKERSPlease continue to pray for our speakers in these last few weeks before the Convention. Pray especially for Don Carson who is leading our Bible Studies in the book of Isaiah and for those speakers who will be at the event for the first time. May they be inspired to prepare addresses which will challenge those attending and be a real encouragement to all concerned. |
