Launch

We had a very ambitious four-fold launch this year and are grateful to God for getting us through a busy day. We want to give thanks particularly for our Breakfast for the business community which is already drawing in extra support for the Convention and also for the Students event at Queens which was well attended. Our evening meeting went well and the lunchtime get-together had an attendance of over 70 which again made it very worthwhile.

Publicity

Our leaflets, posters and DVDs are now being distributed to a wide variety of outlets including local churches, tourist offices and shops. Give thanks for the many volunteers who take part in this work and pray that they will be well received wherever they go. Please pray also that the literature will get into the “ right “ hands and be used by God to stimulate the interest of His people so that they will make a point of attending and supporting the Convention in August.

Convention Committee

Please pray for the Convention committee as it meets on Wednesday 7th June with a view to preparing a first draft of our programme for 2018. Give thanks that Ruth Manning our newest recruit will be with us for the first time and pray that we will be open to God’s prompting in our planning and not stuck in our old ways of doing things.

Children's Work

After a number of years of carrying responsibility for our children’s work, Heather Lyle has decided to pass on the baton. Give thanks for the service which Heather has given, and for the excellent programmes which she produced with her helpers. We are planning two children’s events this year so please pray for CEF as they take the lead and begin planning for the greater challenge.
