September 2018
Wow! What a week that was! Thank you to everyone who came to our events and praised the name of Jesus as we spent the week looking at our theme, "Pray the Lord of the harvest". Here are just some of our Bangor Worldwide 2018 highlights:

The Amy Carmichael Story
Amy Carmichael once wrote:
“And shall I pray Thee change Thy will, my Father, until it be according unto mine?
But, no, Lord, no, that never shall be, rather I pray Thee blend my human will with Thine.”
One of the most famous missionaries to have left Ireland’s shores, Amy’s story, written by Etta Halliday, was performed by a talented bunch of volunteers on Saturday evening at The Spires in Belfast. Watch some of the presentation highlights here...

Donations
Treasurer's Report
One of the main purposes of Bangor Worldwide is to help finance God’s Work throughout the world, giving people the chance to donate to various mission agencies both during the Convention week in August as well as each month via Direct Debits. Hear our hard working treasurer, Cecil McWilliams, report on the current Worldwide finances.
Don't forget you can donate all year round by BACS, card or cheque via or website!

Closing Night
Our closing evening at Worldwide 2018 was such an inspirational event. We heard how the Arts can be an effective vehicle for mission as we listened to Caitlyn Finnis, a local language student who went to Brazil last year with Latin Link and greatly appreciated
the donation she received from the convention towards her mission trip.
International Artist, Ross Wilson reminded us that Derek Bingham once said that "Encouragement is oxygen to the soul" and it's therefore important that we encourage each other in creativity.
Jonathan Rea shared something of his journey to this point in his life as he seeks to serve the Lord and to do it for His glory alone. David Bruce rounded things up with "this unfinished task must lodge not just in our minds where we analyse it, but in our hearts where we are moved to give and to pray and also to go"
