Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention

Can you help?

Nearly all the work of organising the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention and the processing of donations to missions is carried out on a voluntary basis.  This includes the development and maintenance of the Convention’s computer system.

This has been developed over the years by our former Treasurer, Norman Campbell, and continues to be developed and maintained by him.  We are keen to find someone suitable who would come alongside and continue this work.

The system is built on Microsoft Access 2007.  It includes details of all donors and all missionary societies that receive money through the Convention.  It records all donations received, processes the Gift Aid Scheme for the claiming of tax refunds from HMRC, records all payments made and produces the necessary reports and accounts each year for our Committee and Auditors.

If you are familiar with MS Access (or perhaps you know someone suitable who is) we would like to hear from you.  Please send an email to Norman Campbell at BWMC@talktalk.net giving details of your experience with Access (and Visual Basic) and an indication of your willingness to assist us.

We would also appreciate it if you would provide the name, address & preferably the email address of your Minister, Pastor or Elder as I’m sure you will appreciate that we need to have confirmation of the suitability of anyone who will become involved in this work (which has a significant confidential aspect to it).

We all regard our involvement in the work of the Convention as part of our service to our Lord and we look forward to hearing from you if you could assist in this way.
