Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention

Strange things happen when you're in a rush ... like not editing text correctly! Many apologies for the re-send!

Prayer Partners Update

We have much to give thanks for – our step in faith of taking the Waterfront Hall for our opening night celebration is having a good response with half of the tickets (around 1,000) already sold. Please pray that we will continue to have strong sales and that we will be putting up the ‘House Full’ notice by the time August 20th comes around.

Our Global Village is just about full with around 50 exhibitors and again this is cause for praise and an answer to prayer. We have much yet to do in finalising the detailed arrangements for the Waterfront event, including the preparation for the publication of our Convention Brochure and would ask for your prayers for this.

At this stage, all our Convention speakers will be giving thought to their talks etc., and would value prayer for inspiration as they prepare. We would ask especially on behalf of Ajith Fernando who will have the responsibility of bringing the morning Bible Readings.

Our publicity activity has increased with our Launch Event on 26th May and the ongoing distribution of our Convention Programme Leaflets (40,000 have been printed). We are finalising arrangements for our Billboard advertising and are seeking openings in the print media. There is also the possibility of some coverage by the BBC. Please pray that we will achieve publicity which will be effective and, in particular, will reach people who have never heard of the Convention and who will want to know more. Pray in particular that we will be able to connect with the generation that has grown up in the digital age and the wide range of new means of communication which this has brought.

Overall we want all that we do to be glorifying to God, not a man-made Convention and that the outcome in terms of lives changed etc., will be in line with His will for Bangor Worldwide.

We have begun the process of preparing for Worldwide 2012 and we will be looking for your prayer support for this, but more on that in due course
