Most of you already know of the variety of speakers we've had take part in the 2014 convention so we thought we'd give you another reminder to listen and watch the talks via our website!

Whilst we do our best to make all talks available, we're not able to publish some of our speakers due to the sensitive nature of their work.

2015 is a significant year for two of our mission partners – OMF and Open Doors. Both are celebrating major milestones in their history and we will be recognising this in our programme.

2015 will also be a significant year for Worldwide as we move to the Waterfront Hall, Belfast for our closing night on Saturday 29th August.

Etta interviews Bishop Raj Moodley

One of the highlights of the weeks event for our media team is interviewing the speakers at the Bangor sea front. This month we give you Bishop Raj Moodley from South Africa.

"A Revolutionary time for me" is how the Bishop described his week at Worldwide along with his daughter.

He was given compassionate leave after his dear wife died of cancer earlier in the year and their visit to Bangor was a refreshing time.

One of the objectives of the Convention is to challenge Christians to give of their resources to help in the work of Mission both at home and overseas.

Since 1937, when our work began, almost £4.5 million has been channelled through the Convention for missionary work.

If you're still considering giving through the Convention, remember you can give all year round via our website!

Website Usage

Give thanks for the growing impact of our website and the media associated with it. During Convention week, we had visits to our Vimeo site from 43 countries and this means that we have now had contact from 131 countries since we began this service. Please pray that these contacts will have had a positive impact for the extension of the Kingdom and been an encouragement to some who might have only limited access to helpful material.

Worldwide Committee

Please continue to pray for the committee as we meet later this month to try to finalise plans for next year’s Convention and in particular the arrangements for the Waterfront Hall on the closing night. Pray also for discussions about our seminar programme with the various groups involved.

2014 Feedback

Give thanks for positive feedback on this year’s Convention from Mission Agencies at a meeting of the Mission Workers Fellowship. Please pray that these agencies will continue to see fruit from the week, with people offering to go / give / pray.

The Middle East

This year we heard from a number of speakers about the situation in the Middle East. Please continue to pray about the extremely complex situation there, for fellow believers caught up in the violence and for those who are trying to alleviate the suffering in the name of Christ.
