The life of Hudson Taylor

It’s not every Worldwide we host a theatrical performance! This unique event charts the life of OMF founder Hudson Taylor. The one man play, written by Tony Bower to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the organisation, will take place at 3.30pm on Monday 24th August in Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church. Come along and hear the incredible story of how God worked in and through a young man from Barnsley.

Youth Events

Ignite

Motivating and encouraging young people to know their part in Building the Kingdom is vital to ensure the next generation have a heart for global mission. Youth Ignite seeks to provide relevant teaching for young people as well as help them in their journey with Christ. Thrive, Survive or Nosedive is held on Thursday afternoon to help undergraduate students prepare for the challenge of university life whilst Youth Stream caters for all young people eager to learn about global mission.

This year, Youth Stream will be on two nights rather than just the one night. On Thursday 27th August, George from Open Doors will share about their work with the persecuted church and on Friday 28th August, James Hudson Taylor will speak on the work of OMF as they celebrate their 150th anniversary. All Youth Ignite events will be held in Hamilton Road Baptist Church.

Breakfast with Mez

As well as speaking at Surburban Church, Urban Mission Field event on the 25th August, Mez McConnell from 20schemes will also speak at a special breakfast event to be held on Saturday 22nd. Registration is required online and the venue is the Salty Dog Hotel on the Seacliff Road. Set your alarm clock for the 8.30am start time!
