Ladies Seminar

Our popular ladies’ seminar continues at Worldwide on the Thursday afternoon. Tracey Johnston, who serves with Coram Deo Ministries alongside her husband Alan, will share in the event as well as two speakers from Open Doors, who will address issues concerning the persecuted church.

So ladies, why not make an afternoon of it in Bangor. Doors open from 2.30pm and tea and coffee will be served and the event will start at 3pm.

Youth Stream - Ignite

Youth Events

Ignite

Motivating and encouraging young people to know their part in Building the Kingdom is vital to ensure the next generation have a heart for global mission. Youth Ignite seeks to provide relevant teaching for young people as well as help them in their journey with Christ. Thrive, Survive or Nosedive is held on Thursday afternoon to help undergraduate students prepare for the challenge of university life whilst Youth Stream caters for all young people eager to learn about global mission.

This year, Youth Stream will be on two nights rather than just the one night. On Thursday 27th August, George from Open Doors will share about their work with the persecuted church and on Friday 28th August, James Hudson Taylor will speak on the work of OMF as they celebrate their 150th anniversary. All Youth Ignite events will be held in Hamilton Road Baptist Church.

Back at The Waterfront!

Closing Night

Back at The Waterfront!

2015 is a significant year for Worldwide as we move to the Waterfront Hall, Belfast for our closing night on Saturday 29th August. Following our step of faith in 2011 which God blessed in a most marvellous way with a full house, we have decided that the time is right for a return visit.

The keynote speaker will be Professor John Lennox and we will be joined by the New Irish Choir and Orchestra for what promises to be a great night. Tickets, priced £12.50, are available from the Waterfront Website.

Evening Sessions

Event

Evening Sessions

With all that goes on during the day at Worldwide, you'd be excused for feeling a little tired! That doesn't stop us pulling all the stops out to encourage you to come to our evening sessions!

Tonight, our focus switches to the Middle East and we will hear from Chuck O who has extensive experience working in this difficult part of the world.

Lazarus Yeghnazar will follow and talk of the work of 222 Ministries which has strong links into Iran.

On Thursday, we come a wee bit closer to home and we focus on Europe. This year marks the 1400th anniversary of the death in Italy of one of the most well known missionaries to leave Bangor for Europe with the gospel – St Columbanus. We will hear something about his life from Ian Wilson and then we will hear from two modern day missionaries working in Europe – Philip Moore from France and Alan Taylor from Italy. Both are involved in church planting in what are now post Christian societies.

Friday is our last night in Bangor and what better way to get prepared for the Waterfront than to join with Open Doors in celebrating their 60th Anniversary! George is coming from their HQ in Holland to talk about the work and a second speaker will provide a local perspective on the work. Come along and hear about the situations Christians face in other parts of the world where to admit to being a follower of Jesus can put your life at risk.
