Peter Nicholl

Peter was appointed as CEO for OM Ships in April 2009.

He was born and raised in South Africa where after high school, he began serving with Youth for Christ.  Following completion of his compulsory military service Peter returned to Youth for Christ and served as regional director for the Transkei region, living and working among the Xhosa people (Nelson Mandela’s tribe).

While at Baptist Theological College in Johannesburg and serving as Youth Pastor, he met his wife, Bernice.  Married now for 29 years, they have three daughters, Frances (26), Lyndall (24), and Robyn (20).    

Peter has pastored two churches in South Africa, and served as Board Chair of OM South Africa.  He has also served on OM ships Doulos and Logos II, (where he served as Director.)  He has also served as Director of OM in the United Kingdom and in 2003 became Head of OM’s International Personnel Services.  Peter loves teaching bible and is also committed to leadership development and training.
