Welcome

The website for Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention - an event unlike any other in the UK, focusing solely on supporting and promoting world mission.

Worldwide 2009 is now over but we can praise God that it was a wonderful week of Bible teaching and mission challenge.  Attendances throughout the week were up by 25% (approx) on previous years but, more importantly, there was a clear sense of God’s presence in the meetings – through the prayer times; the evening worship; and also the many mission reports.  If you click on the Worldwide 2009 link you will see the wide range of speakers, missions, people groups, and countries represented.  If you missed any, or all, of the meetings this year you can still listen to them via the Podcasts links or through iTunes (by typing in ‘worldwidemission’).

If you want to sign up for our regular Prayer Letter you can do this by clicking on Prayer Points.

Worldwide Twenty Ten

Planning for Worldwide 2010 is already underway!  Speakers expected include:  Mark Buchanan (Vancouver, Canada); Chris Wright (Langham P’ship International); Donald Fleming (Faith in Action Mission): Patrick Sookdheo (Barnabas Fund): Brother Pradip (Nepal) – other speakers will be announced in due course.

Twin Track!

Next year there will a new ‘twin track’ approach to Bible teaching across the week.  At Worldwide 2010 the morning Bible Readings will be led by Mark Buchanan from Vancouver, Canada. Each evening meeting will have up to date reports on mission from around the world but will also contain relevant, topical, Bible teaching on mission by Chris Wright from Langham Partnership International.
