David Gordon

David became a follower of Jesus at a SU camp in Germany in 1968. He felt called to full-time Christian ministry at Bangor Worldwide and subsequently pastored Baptist churches in the IOM and Scotland where he also served as the National Mission Advisor.

His desire has always been to see, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the growth of healthy congregations reaching effectively into their local community with the good news of the gospel of Christ. He is a passionate communicator seeking to teach and apply the word of God in a relevant way.

In ‘retirement’ he is actively involved in a number of ‘mission’ organisations including the Dohnavur Fellowship which is the ongoing legacy of the ministry of Amy Carmichael. He is married to Heather with three daughters and four grandsons; his other interests include van Gogh, the Titanic, cycling and watching St.Mirren FC and the Belfast Giants!
