Joanne Briggs

Representing: The Leprosy Mission Northern Ireland

Joanne Briggs is the National Director of The Leprosy Mission Northern Ireland (www.tlm-ni.org).  Following Jesus Christ, The Leprosy Mission (TLM) seeks to bring about transformation in the lives of those affected by leprosy, empowering them to attain healing, dignity and life in all its fulness. Those affected are often the poorest of the poor and the most marginalized in our world.  TLM have a vision to see a world without leprosy: Zero Transmission by 2035, Zero Disability and Zero Discrimination.

Compelled by the love of the Shepherd, Joanne’s heart is for the lost, the poor and the outcast: to create spaces and places of belonging and empowerment for those who are often on the fringes and rejected by society.  She finds it a tremendous privilege to be called by God to be a vessel of His love unto others.

Joanne is married to Chris and has 3 children.  As a family, they attend Emmanuel Lurgan.  In her spare time, Joanne enjoys walking (especially at the beach!) and catching up with friends over a cuppa or a meal.  She is delighted to speaking at Bangor Worldwide Convention this year.
