Paul and Ruth Turner

Representing: Latin Link, Peru

Paul was born and lived in Peru until he was sixteen when he went to study in England. After completing his Maths degree he trained as a Primary school teacher and taught in Hertfordshire for ten years.

He returned to Peru in 2007 where he met and married Ruth who was already working with Latin Link. Ruth is from Rasharkin in Northern Ireland and is also a Primary school teacher by profession. Ruth has an M.Th in missiology and pastoral care. Paul is a keen marathon runner and Ruth loves baking and having coffee with friends.

They live in Arequipa, Peru, where they work as Short Term Coordinators for Latin Link. This involves looking for placements for teams and short–term missionaries, and providing support for them through orientation, pastoral visits and mentoring. They also help Peruvians into mission. Paul helps co–ordinate Nuevas Fuerzas (Renewed Strength), a twice–weekly group for young adults with disabilities. Ruth is a member of Latin Link’s international leadership team and Paul is involved in leadership within the Latin Link Peru team and their local church.
